Iyam Productions Signs two year contract for World Wide Distribution via Platinum/Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group.
Iyam Productions, a Music Production Company located in Houston Texas, announced today that it has just signed with the Platinum/Bungalo Records/UMG for World Wide Distribution of its upcoming albums and single releases for the next two years.
The agreement states that Platinum/Bungalo/UMG shall retain exclusive rights and responsibility for all music distribution delivered by Iyam Productions to the Platinum Record Label.
Platinum Records Chief Executive Officer Aaron Johnson stated that he is looking forward to partnering with Kirk Layne and his Company of Professional Musicians and Business Staff. It was noted that during his first meeting with Layne and a short visit to the Iyam Productions Recording Studio, Mr. Johnson immediately made the offer to Him and his Team for World Wide Distribution of their upcoming CD. “I listened to two of their new songs and that was all I needed to hear” said Johnson. “I knew right away that these guys had something”.
Iyam Productions is owned and operated by Kirk Layne, a Veteran Musician and Producer in the Houston local music scene. Layne is also a singer/songwriter and has released CDs from his band, IYAM, including their latest independent release, “Better Than Ever”.
“This agreement with Platinum/Universal will take us to the next level in the business” stated Layne. “When you get a chance to partner with experienced professionals like Aaron Johnson, you just have to stop and thank God Almighty for being so good to you. Aaron is such a mover and shaker in the business, and we are all just incredibly grateful to be working with him and his very capable staff.”
Kirk Layne’s Rock Band, IYAM, first started working in the Houston music scene in the late ‘80s. The band’s current lineup remains as it was back then and consists of Al Gollehon on Bass, Myke Starr on Guitar, Robert Cordray on Percussion, and Kirk Layne on Lead Vocals.
